Hope Solutions

Hope Solutions heals the effects of poverty and homelessness by providing permanent housing solutions and vital support services to highly vulnerable families and individuals. Due to a growing housing crisis in our region, providing support for the underserved community has become a core duty as a citizen of my county.

Every Tuesday, I help at the homework club for 2½ hours. As a tutor, my duties range from helping children in kindergarten read and learn new words to helping draft and correct middle school essays.

During the summer of 2020, I assisted and hosted an event for the Art Camp. For the first week, I helped kids create a superhero with powers based on everyday qualities such as kindness. I then helped kids design a figurine, mask, and a cape.

I designed a curriculum for the second week of Art Camp, which would introduce children to the science, syntax, and art of music. You can download the full course description below.

This organization helps children from extremely low income maintain academic strength and succeed in future studies.

I worked as Assistant Coach for Squash Drive during 10th grade every Friday afternoon. I helped host group games with the underserved Oakland youth, which helped improve their squash skills. Afterwords, them I'm helping minority students with academic and athletic success.

I'm one of the student council members for CCPAS Student Chapter which serves about 300 members throughout the East Bay. This organization provides seasonal concerts for student musicians, oversees performances at senior centers, and creates workshops that focus on various aspects of music theory, performance, composition, and more. I'm the Council's Registrar, overseeing applications for performances, creating the concert order with the help of advisors, and communicating with music teachers and performers. I was the coordinator and emcee for the Fall 2019 Concert. I've been a concert program and certificate designer for past events as well.
